Secure Payments & Guaranteed Escrow System

How SUGU protects buyers and guarantees payment to Malian SMEs upon verified delivery.

1. The SUGU Trusted Third Party Principle

To eliminate non-payment risks for producers and non-compliance risks for customers (domestic or international), SUGU operates an automated bank escrow system.

Fundamental rule: When you pay for an order, funds are not immediately disbursed to the seller. They are securely held in a ring-fenced escrow account until delivery and batch verification.

2. The 4 Steps of the Escrow Process

1

Payment & Ring-fencing

The buyer pays via Orange Money, Wave, Credit Card (Visa/Mastercard), or Swift Wire. Funds are safely locked in escrow.

2

Consolidation & Quality Control

The SME prepares the order and routes it to the Bamako Hub. APEX-Mali agents inspect physical compliance and export documentation.

3

Dispatch & Real-Time Tracking

The package is dispatched via the courier (DHL, Air France Cargo, or local carrier). The buyer tracks transit with their tracking code.

4

Delivery & Funds Release

Following confirmed receipt by the buyer (or 48 business hours post-delivery with no dispute), funds are disbursed directly to the SME account.

3. Authorized Payment Methods
